New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to woo the United States in a five-day visit. Foreign Ministry said Tuesday that the visit to the United States of Modi is a sign of respect India's commitment to multilateralism and the desire to exploit the growing convergence in Indo-US relations. 

Modi is scheduled to begin its journey from 26 to 30 September Him by the Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj also accompaied. She will travel to the USA on Tuesday night and will join the delegation Modi once he gets there, MEA spokesman Syed Akbaruddin. 

In his five-day trip to New York and Washington, Modi will have more than 30 commitments. It is scheduled to hold meetings with the administration of the United States, heads of state, businessmen and NRI community. 

Modi four main figures of the United States government, including President Barack Obama will meet on September 29 and 30 when you are in Washington, Akbaruddin said. 

The Prime Minister will also meet with Vice President Joe Biden, who will host a lunch for him with the Secretary of State, John Kerry. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel also called the prime minister, said the MEA. 

Modi meet former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, the spokesperson added. 

On September 27, Modi to the General Assembly of the United Nations shall address. "Their participation in the General Assembly is a statement of commitment to multilateralism India. He will focus on issues of primary importance permanent members including India Security Council of the UN in his speech to the UN General Assembly," said MEA. 

Later in the day, Modi pays tribute to 09.11 victims. 

On September 30, Modi pay homage to the Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King Memorial and the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Washington. 

Modi the President of Sri Lanka, Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Nepal will also meet during the trip. 

Modi, however, has no plans to meet with his Pakistani counterpart, Nawaz Sharif, Akbaruddin said.
