Writer-director Janardhan Maharshi has donned grease paint and became a "car driver" on the spool. Maharshi, who directed Shriya Saran in disaster Pavithra, now occupying character roles in films. He is seen in the newly released Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya as auto driver in collecting Ajay couple of times. 

Janardhan Maharshi rose to fame with SS Rajamouli Eega where he wrote the dialogues of the film. To occupy roles of blink and miss, Maharshi is losing ground. It is not new that the writers and directors took acting dive. Posani Krishna Murali, Kasi Viswanath and now belongs to that race was installed as character actors, but chose correct parts to reach this stage. Maharshi has to be wise enough to repeat it.
