Patients suffering from blood cancer and people who need a kidney transplant may obtain additional financial support under the scheme Rajiv Aarogyasri.

The officials of the Rajiv Arogyasri Trust had recently sent proposals to the government of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to improve health coverage for the two types of leukemia disease and also for kidney transplantation. From the existing Rs.2 lakh per family per year, the proposed limits are Rs.2.8 lakh for leukemia patients and Rs.3.3 lakh for kidney transplant patients

K. Dhananjaya Reddy Aarogyasri CEO said that poor patients suffering from these medical conditions were spending more than Rs.2 lakh a year in treatment alone, and therefore it was important to come to your rescue.

Mr. Reddy was speaking at a conference on universal coverage of ESRD, organized by the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) on Friday in the city.

Speaking on the theme of the conference, the CEO said that while there were 1,100 downtown strange dialysis AP and Telangana, 160 more centers will be established under the PPP model (Public Private Partnership) in the two States in the near future .

Citing a case study in Kanpur, members proposed a single model that can implement various cities and towns. According to this model, the population of Kanpur 30 lakh could be covered by only Rs.99 per person, considering that there are only 1,050 patients suffered from kidney problems.
