A teacher in a private school, allegedly misbehaved with a student of class IX, was arrested by the police Monday Meerpet.
The teacher, Srinivas Rao, a student sexually harassed by his threat to cut their marks in the exams, the parents of the girl told police.
Based on his complaint, the police invoked Section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) 2012 and various sections of the Indian Penal Code. "We have taken into custody and Srinivas are verifying the allegation," Deputy Inspector Meerpet Election N. Reddy said.
Teacher held madarsa
A madarsa teacher held on charges of 'misconduct' with a stranger in Banjara Hills on Monday.
The accused, Abdullah joked and used offensive language and then abused women after an argument about the dress she was wearing, police said. The victim was studying in a private college degree in his native city of the Republic of Congo and remains in Tolichowki. Based on a complaint lodged by the victim, police Nirbhaya Act invoked against him.
B.Tech Student arrested
The city police on Monday arrested a B.Tech student for allegedly making purchases online after illegally obtained data card ATM-cum-debit from others.
B. Surya Teja (21) B. N. Reddy Nagar used to frequent Andhra Bank ATM centers. Used to see people withdraw money from ATMs and centers store the numbers of ATM cards and passwords. He then visited internet centers, log on to the online shopping portals and shop for different items, said Detective Department DCP G. Pala Raju.
Teja was captured after a driver, Mohan, police approached saying that some unknown persons made purchases online using their data debit card.
The Cyber Crime Cell of Hyderabad Police registered a case and tracked him after analyzing the numbers of Internet Protocol.
