Visakhapatnam: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) proposed to be established here will most likely begin to function from next year.
The IIM is temporary located on the campus of the University of Andhra, while one would rise to permanent Gambheram in Anandapuram mandal.
Experts and officials of the National Mission on Education through Information Communication and Technology Mission director Praveen Prakash will be visiting here on September 19, the site extends over 334 acres were inspected, the campus is 25 kms away from the railway station and 30 km from the airport.
Meanwhile, District Collector N Yuvaraj inspected the Andhra Bank Andhra University School of Business building near the UA to temporarily house and welcomed. The 20,000 sft empty space in the two-story building is ready for immediate occupancy. The building has all the facilities such as classrooms, offices for faculty and staff, seminar and conference rooms is an ideal place.
