The Telangana government held its first independence day after the formation of the state will drop the idea of ​​making the historic fort as a permanent venue for Independence day celebrations. The historical monument is under the Archaeological Survey of India and is very difficult to get permission to perform there every year celebrations.

Also the Telangana government faced strong resistance from Indian Army who says something in the area near the fort belongs to them.

Telangana Government originally planned to show pictures highlighting the Telangana culture but fell after ASI refused to allow large trucks within the fort. The narrow road near the fort and uneven ground inside also became screen pictures at the expense of mid-size vehicles. 

It is said that the chief minister had ordered officials to identify land for the construction of a permanent site for the celebration of all national and state festivals hereafter.
