Jammu: As Pakistan continues violating ceasefire along the border in Jammu and Kashmir, Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag said Wednesday that India is providing effective and appropriate response to Pakistani troops. 

The army chief's comments came 50 Pakistani troops targeted security outposts and three dozen villages with heavy mortar shelling and shooting at night along the international border of 192 km in Jammu and Kashmir. 

According to reports, India has responded with force, determination and ability to transmit to face Pakistan in the Indian leadership. New Delhi has clarified that talks with Islamabad will not be possible unless Pakistan stops violating fire high on the border. 

In retaliation Pakistan targeting civilian homes in Jammu and Kashmir, the Union Home Ministry today put a flag meeting scheduled between Pakistan and Indian paramilitary forces to discuss the recent hostilities on hold. 

The extension of ceasefire violations to new areas, bombed Pakistan Rangers outposts (BOP) and towns of Samba and Kathua Jammu along with overnight and continued shooting until Wednesday morning. 

A woman died in the bombing of the village in Samba Jaladi while 11 people, including three members of the FBS, were injured, said a spokesman for the FBS. 

So far, seven people have died and nearly 70 injured in climbing from 1 October with more than 16,000 people to migrate to safer areas in these districts. 

There have been more than two dozen violations of ceasefire along the border between India and Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir since October 1.
