Hyderabad: The report of the Committee Sivaramakrishnan in the capital of Andhra Pradesh, which was submitted to the Ministry of Interior of the Union on August 27, will go before the state legislature on Thursday.
Even the statement of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on location in the capital city will be on the same day at noon.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the Assembly witnessed fireworks when rulers and opposition TD YSR Congress traded charges on the issue of capital leading to adjournment of the House for the day.
Leader of the Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy asked, "How can the government decide unilaterally that the capital should be located without discussing the report of the Committee Sivaramakrishnan?"
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy recalled that in July 1953, the Assembly had considered the central issue for five days in the former Andhra state was carved.
The vote was also performed to determine the location of the capital.
"We want a debate and vote in the capital now too. Failing that, what is the Assembly?" He asked.
