HYDERABAD: In some good news for Chandrababu Naidu, the Andhra Pradesh government has been informed by the Department of Revenue which has over 45,000 hectares of degraded forest land, largely invaded by local and small industrial units, around Vijayawada for the construction of the new capital. The Prime Minister has received the report, is likely to announce the details in the assembly on Thursday. 

On Wednesday, Naidu held a series of meetings with the advisory committee capital, led by experts composed of the municipal urban development minister P Narayana and to put the finishing touches to your advertisement in the new capital. "The CM will make an announcement on this land around Vijayawada and seek opinions from MLAs. Shall be a detailed discussion if the opposition cooperates," said a minister. 

The report of the revenue department has identified 13,488 hectares of forest land in Nunna, Nainavaram and Pathapadu areas, which are currently part of the Urban Development Authority Vijayawada? Guntur-Tenali? Mangalagiri (VGTM-UDA). The department also identified 16,305 acres in Ibrahimpatnam, near Kanchikicharla 10,500 hectares and 14,768 near Jaggaiahpet mandals. 

"The state government has already prepared an order to ban all new construction in areas identified for capital. Much of these areas will only government buildings including staff quarters," said sources. The government has also contacted the ministry of environment to reactivate the process denotifying degraded forest land for the capital, which was allowed under the Reorganization Act -2014 AP. 

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister held an emergency meeting with his ministers in assembly facilities for suggestions to be incorporated in his speech on Thursday. "An announcement on capital in 24:17 on Thursday will be made," said Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu.
