Visakhapatnam: The Human Rights Forum (HRF) found unacceptable the decision of the Council of Ministers AP to locate the capital of the region-Vijayawada Guntur city. 

"We agree with the recommendation of Sivaramakrishnan Committee that the location of the capital in this area would result in the loss of precious agricultural land would have a negative impact on food security and the environment and also displace farmers and farmworkers large numbers. Dismissing this recommendation would amount to a historic mistake, "said the president of HRF S. Jeevan Kumar. 

In a statement here on Tuesday said that the Forum also agrees with the Committee's view that a single 'super-city', as it is touted repeatedly by the government of TD, is undesirable. Capital should be more or less central and accessible to all parts of the state land acquisition and it must involve a minimum displacement, he said. 

Official activity must be dispersed throughout the state with the decentralization to be the director of Cardinal. 

"However, there are several aspects that are problematic. More obvious is om-ission specific acute situation of adivasis and fishermen," said Mr. Krishna.
