National award winning actress Shweta Basu has admitted that she took it as professional as prostitution was running out of income. 

This bold actress of 23 years was arrested by the police and was sent home from state bailout. She said because of bad decisions, lost opportunities and was out of money, even the lost support of his family and some people encouraged her into prostitution to earn money, accepted as seh had no choice. 

She underwent a medical examination at a government hospital and was sent to rescue home, where he would be given training for three months as part of the custody, along with with free food, clothing and medical care. 

She got the national award for best child artist for "Makdee" in 2002 reportedly was collecting Rs.1 lakh each customer HiFi.
