Hyderabad: Police departments across the country are likely to be benefited from the introduction of the new software that has been approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs. Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems Project (CCTNS) has begun with the release of Rs.2000 crore. 

The CCTNS project aims at creating a comprehensive and integrated approach to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of policing in police stations broadcast across the nation through the adoption of principles of e-governance system.
