Hyderabad: Actor Ram Charan came to the rescue of Kannayya family who died in a stampede at the Kurnool district. 

Kannayya died in a stampede as crowds jostled to enter a movie theater to see the movie 'Govindudu Andarivadele' in Kurnool district Yemmigunuru in Wednesday.While Kannayya died instantly, several other minor injuries. 

"My latest film 'GOVINDUDU ANDARIVADELE' released yesterday. Unfortunately I got to know a fan (Kannayya) in Kurnool district Yemmiganur in theater Siva was killed in stampede.May his soul rest in peace and my deepest condolences to his family.'m declaring an ex gratia of Rs 2000 to his family, "said Ram Charan in a press release. 

The relatives of the deceased blamed the theater management for not taking precautions knowing full well that there was a large crowd on the eve of Dasara. Moments of tension prevailed in the theater as family staged a dharna.
