Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao Telangana declared that his government will spend about imposing Rs. 22,500 crore for the revival and restoration of minor irrigation schemes over the next five years. 

Speaking at a workshop at the state level in irrigation minor in JNTU, Kukatpally here on Thursday alleged that the sector was systematically destroyed in AP dispensing together since 1956 as most of Telangana were dependent on irrigation tank heavily before.
