Hyderabad: The TRS government headed by K. Chandrasekhar Rao here on Monday caused a shower of roses on the giant idol in Khairatabad Ganapathi Viswaroopa Kailasa while he was developing for the dip in the lake Hussainsagar. 

The government KCR reportedly purchased three bushels of roses and rained them on the huge idol of a helicopter at night. Interior Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Anurag Sharma and DGP Hyderabad police commissioner of the city Mahendar Reddy sat in the helicopter. 

When the flowers showered on the idol, the devotees excited shouted slogans like "Jai Ganesha, Jai Jai Telangana and KCR." Devotees waited patiently for hours to witness the rare sight around 17:30. There was a stampede at the occasion.
