Leader of the Opposition k jana reddy on Wednesday welcomed the Government Order issued by the TRS Government with regard to waiver of agricultural loans.
Addressing a press conference at Congress Legislature Party office here, Jana Reddy said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao should ensure that the GO gets implemented on immediate basis. Further, he said steps should be taken for issue of fresh loans to the farmers. He also asked the government to supply power to the farmers by meeting the shortage by purchasing power from other States.
Jana Reddy said that the Congress party was willing to cooperate with the TRS Government for the development of Telangana and KCR should take advantage of the offer. He said that advises and appeals by the opposition parties should be not treated as criticism. He asked the government to come prepared to answer the questions related to the implementation of promises made by the TRS Government.
The CLP leader also condemned the intervention of Centre in the affairs of Telangana Government. He said a democratically elected government should be allowed to function freely. When asked about controversy over special powers to the Governor, he said he would on the same after the Telangana MPs meeting with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on August 18.
Jana Reddy also advised some Congress leaders to leave the party with honour if they were not satisfied. He said it would be immoral and unethical on their part to stay with the Congress and damage it.
