Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday appealed to the farmers to cooperate with the TRS Government in the development of telangana State.

Addressing a gathering in connection with the birth anniversary of telangana ideologue Prof Jayashankar at Agriculture University here, KCR said that the total implementation of promises made with the farmers would take some. Stating that the new government was formed just two months ago, he said some more time would be required to address all the issues concerning farmers. However, he assured that all steps would be taken to ensure welfare of farmers in telangana State.

KCR admitted that the telangana State has been facing shortage of power which would continue for the next three years. However, he promised that entire telangana State would get uninterrupted power supply for 24 hours after three years. He blamed the previous Congress and TDP regimes for the problems being faced by farmers of telangana. He said unlike TDP and Congress, the TRS Government does not believe in politics, but development. Without naming Nara Chandrababu Naidu, he challenged his Andhra Pradesh counterpart to compete with telangana in development.

KCR also offered 15 per cent seats for the students of Andhra Pradesh in Agriculture University. However, he said that the Andhra Pradesh Government would have to bear the cost of their fee. At one side, the AP Government is planning to build a new capital like Singapore by spending Rs 1.5 lakh crore. But on the other, it is not willing to bear the burden of fee reimbursement for its students.
