Palghar: Two industrial workers were killed and three others were seriously injured in an explosion at an industrial unit located in industrial park in Boisar on Wednesday afternoon, the rural district Palghar police said. 

Boisar Police Station sub-inspector SK Pote told PTI that a reactor at the local JPN Pharma Private Ltd exploded this afternoon killing two and injuring three workers. 

The seriously injured have been admitted to the local hospital and are being treated, said. He gave the names of the dead as plant supervisor 

Pravin Bhandighare (28) and a worker Rakesh S Bankar (22). 

The police officer said three people, including dead plant supervisor Pravin has been booked in connection with the explosion in Section 304 of the Penal Code of India. 

Others who have been booked for negligence include officer safety officer Pradeep Panda and maintenance unit Sadanand Lohar. 

Police said they have made ​​no arrests so far and investigations are on.
