The ysr congress party has said that the lack of coordination between the two Chief Ministers has a very negative impact on the people, more so on the populace of the Seemandhra as Chandrababu Naidu has failed in the taking up the core issues with his Telangana counterpart nor has he asked the Centre to mediate on disputes resulting in the chaos among various sections of people.
‘Be it fees reimbursement, implementation of Aarogyasri or sharing of river waters, Chandrababu Naidu has been very stoic at a time when Telangana government has raised the nativity issue or when hospitals in the city have been rejecting patients from Seemandhra which is a blot on his administration,” party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Monday.
Instead of sitting across the table and sorting out issues, Naidu has allowed the matter to precipitate in its own course resulting in the intervention of Supreme Court in EAMCET counselling. We welcome the apex court decision but the question is why things should go to such a pass.
As the issue concerns students, Chief Ministers of both the states should have sorted amicably face-to-face or at least the Centre should have asked to mediate on the irksome matters.
Patients from Seemandhra are being sent away without treatment on the nativity issue and the Aarogyasri scheme, they are told, is not applicable to them. As there is no proper infrastructure and super-specialty hospitals in Seemandhra, patients have to come to Hyderabad for treatment and if they are denied treatment, Chandrababu Naidu has to take initiative and hold talks with his counterpart and find a way out, he said.
It seems the plight of students, patients, farmers and other sections of society have compounded after the bifurcation and neither the Congress nor BJP which were instrumental in the division nor TDP which has taken claim for casting first vote in favour of bifurcation has spoken out when it comes to the plight of people.
The Supreme Court’s order to conduct counselling as it was done during the united state is welcome and Naidu should be categorical and speak up on behalf of the Seemandhra students or bring in the Centre for arbitration.
Chandrababu Naidu has to be very categorical on the Seemandhra people availing Aarogyasri scheme as the quality medicare is concentrated in Hyderabad itself. He also did not react on water sharing issue, he said.
Loan waiver scheme has never seen light of the day but for the first signature and a GO being issued as not a single farmer has said that his loan was waived. With a strength of 67 MLAs we will continue to raise the issue at all forums as Naidu has been deceiving farmers time and again.
YSR Congress has done an introspection of its performance in the elections and brushed aside the remark that it has no stake in Telangana. We are active both States and will continue to be, he added.
