In a major warning to America,North Korea threatened a nuclear strike on the White House and Pentagon .A high-ranking North Korean military official has threatened to launch a nuclear strike against the United States, accusing Washington of increasing tensions on the Korean peninsula.

Vice Marshall Hwang Pyong So said that they would launch nuclear rockets at the White House and U.S. military bases around the Pacific if US attempted to undermine North Korea's independence and right to have nuclear weapons and deploy a nuclear aircraft carrier. 

"If the US imperialists threaten our sovereignty and survival... our troops will fire our nuclear-armed rockets at the White House and the Pentagon " Hwang said in his speech by adding that tensions had been raised following a series of drills by the U.S. and South Korea.

Hwang made this comments while  speaking at a rally in Pyongyang marking the 61st anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended the Korean War in 1953.However experts say North Korea does not have a ballistic missile capable of reaching the United States.
