Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Officers Non gazetted - '(NGO) Association here on Monday urged the state government to move the government offices of Hyderabad in a phased manner.
Speaking to mediapersons, President APNGOs P Ashok Babu said employees were willing to move to the temporary capital, Vijayawada. However, he wanted the government to first identify the departments of public importance to exit Hyderabad. The Fund departments or offices as the Chief Minister of Relief, Irrigation, Revenue, Civil Supplies, Health, Education and Engineering can be relocated to the temporary capital, said.
He, however, said that the relocation of all departments at once was not feasible due to the division of all officers of India Service (AIS) officers and non-gazetted and gazetted however was to be completed. The process of division of archives and finance also remained incomplete, said.
Ashok Babu said that only 25 percent of the workers were willing to relocate to Vijayawada. He advised the government to relocate departments and officials needed to conduct day-to-day government. He warned the government against the transfer of officials and employees without their consent. He said some of the employees were not prepared to leave Hyderabad. In some cases, a number of employees can not leave their spouses Hyderabad remained in government service Telangana State. Total Relocation of all departments would be possible only after the capital was built, he said.
