A 20 year girl was gang raped by 12 people in Beerbhoom District, Subaal Poor Village. This is a punishment given to her by the panchayat as she had a relationship with a person from different cast.

Some people saw her with her friend and complained to the panchayat heads. The panchayat ordered them to pay Rs. 25,000 as a fine. But the family could not afford to pay to pay the fine so the panchayat ordered that she must be raped by 12 men.

She was taken from there and raped all night long. The girl said in the report that she doesn’t even know how many times they raped her the whole night. After that the brother of the girl’s friend paid the fine and took her to the hospital where she is being treated.

The girl’s family reported the incident in the police station. The girl is being treated in the hospital, she is in a critical condition.

She has given names of 13 people. All the 13 people have been arrested.

All the accused where her relatives and some of them where her cousin brothers said the police. The incident took place in the President Pranabh Mukharjee’s home town.
