There has been a dramatic shift in the public perception about political parties ever since Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) scripted a stupendous maiden electoral victory in Delhi. The public mind space is now being dominated by AAP, a new player which promises to change the rules of the game to bring the common man to the centre-stage of politics. As a result of this changing dynamics, the 2014 electoral battle is increasingly seen as a Modi versus Kejriwal fight, relegating Rahul Gandhi to the background. It seems as if ruling Congress has outsourced the anti-Modi campaign to Kejriwal to stop BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate in his tracks."Kejriwal, with 25% approval rating, is the second choice for Prime Minister’s post after Narendra Modi (58 %)" as per national survey.
