Vijayawada: The state government has allocated Rs 267 million rupees to distribute land to the landless dalits, according to Minister of Social Welfare Kishore Babu R here Wednesday.
Minister, addressing a meeting of officials of the DRDA, ITDA, SC Corporation, Departments of Rural Development, said the government distribute agricultural land to landless Dalits.
Members of women in the families of the beneficiaries would be given works entitled registered, he said.
He said the state government had released Rs 67 million rupees, while the remaining 200 crore rupees for Stree Nidhi for the scheme. The government would extend financial assistance to Rs 5 lakh rate of an acre of beneficiary and would be improved to Rs 10 lakh, if necessary. The government would take 75 percent or Rs 2 lakh, whichever is less, because the subsidy per hectare, he said.

The Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) CEO Arun Kumar H directed officials to identify beneficiaries with the help of staff at the village level and identify the lands which are given to beneficiaries.
I wanted the SHGs to play a key role in identifying beneficiaries and suitable land under the Rural Development Department Secretary scheme.The Principle SS Ravat, commissioned G Jayalakshmi, Krishna district Additional Collector Set, BL Chennakesava Rao, project managers DRDA of the 13 districts and other officials were present.
