The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Srinjoy Bose regarding multi crore scam Saradha sources said on Friday.

Bose, who is also the popular Bengali newspaper Pratidin 'owner, once the suspension Trinamool Rajya Sabha MP Kunal Ghosh employed, now behind bars for alleged involvement in the scam Saradha as editor of the newspaper.

The special crime unit of the CBI had questioned Trinamool Congress MP before Srinjoy Bose.

On Tuesday, the CBI had arrested a broker after recovering cash of more than Rs 14 lakh and two gold biscuits residence during searches conducted at 18 sites, including the home of a Rajya Sabha MP connection with its investigation into the alleged chit fund scam Costa group.

Shubhankar Nayak, the alleged middleman was arrested by the agency late at night, a CBI official said.
