New Industrial Policy of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, considered favorable to the industry, will be released very soon. Deloitte, has been appointed as the consultant to design the policy has presented its draft report and the Government is contemplating to enact legislation on the single window system reviewed at the next session of the Legislature, said principal secretary of industries department JSV Prasad.
He was addressing an interactive session that the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized here Thursday to mark the launch of Brand in India national campaign by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said the government has initiated reforms to green category industries exempt from obtaining approvals from the Board of Control of Pollution, giving special incentives for industries to set up their units with investment exceeding Rs 1,000 crore, the establishment a Skill Development Corporation and Skill Development Council to identify areas that required thrust enhance skills and facilitate labor legislation in the manufacturing sector.
While the promise of an enabling environment for industrialization in the coming years despite the initial problems setting that the state had to be after the split, Mr. Prasad said that a positive pulse is generated by the campaign Brand India and the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has also given a new direction for the industrial policy framework prioritizing the manufacturing sector of the core and infrastructure go hand in hand.
