Falaknuma Palace is the place to be seen partying and celebrating this month. And, socialites and celebrities are already comparing notes on who has been invited to the wedding of his sister Arpita Salman Khan at the hotel.
Friends of the family of Khan, Venkatesh and Suresh Babu, have received their invitations. While Venkatesh will attend functions, Suresh Babu will be absent as he is taking the Ayappa Mala and is, therefore, not socialize.
Salman Khan spent Rs 2 million rupees to book the entire hotel for two days. The palace, with its 60 rooms, costs about one million rupees per day. And by booking the entire hotel, Salman has said that outsiders do not sneak the festivities by booking a table at one of the restaurants or spa appointment.
While Rs 2 crore has been spent in just the place and the rooms, the decor will add more to the bill. The Khan and his guests will arrive on November 18 and check out on day 20. Sources close to the bride say around 250 people have been invited and the wedding ceremony will take place on the lawn.
But Arpita's marriage is not the only highlight of the season at the hotel. Falaknuma has been reserved by noted French businessman Jean-Yves Ollivier, who has business interests in the commodity sector in emerging markets, from November 15 to 17 for their 70th birthday celebrations. After spending a year reviewing places Ollivier team chose Hyderabad.
Ollivier, a close friend and adviser to former French President Jacques Chirac has invited several African heads of state, Prince Michael of Kent, known European aristocracy and also many ancient Indians Royals.
