The Superior Court of Judicature on Friday fell heavily on the banners, cutouts and flexi-boards politicians and others erected in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana causing inconvenience to the people.
In response to a request for public interest litigation (PIL) filed by an attorney, the Supreme Court ordered the senior civil and police officials in both states to remove all unauthorized banners, flex-boards and cuts immediately.
MSN Prasad petitioner has stated in its request that no one has been looking after the execution of the orders of the government imposed a ban on erecting cuts and banners in public places.
"We went to the authorities to remove them immediately," he said in his orders, is postponed until last week's hearing on the petition.
In another case, the Supreme Court also directed the authorities of both states to conduct a review of the statues installed in various places and take appropriate disposal decisions.
