Telangana Police Interceptor launch vehicles, launch Telangana Police Interceptor Vehicles in Hyderabad city for 17 interceptor vehicles to deal Terror
Hyderabad: In order to respond quickly to any contingency law and order especially in the case of armed attack, Telangana Police today launched 'Interceptor Vehicles for armed intervention' here.
These vehicles will be stationed at key strategic points in the city, equipped with a four-component armed with bulletproof vests and staff will be on duty round-the-clock and have teams of high-tech communication.
Telangana Home Minister N Narsimha Reddy, to speak out after scoring 17 Interceptor vehicles in the first phase of the jurisdiction Hyderabad Commissionerate said 25 more vehicles will be launched soon under the limits of Cyberabad Police.
"It is anticipated as another exercise friendly people through community policing and for the ultimate city insurance Hyderabad and vision insurance. The idea is to instill a sense of trust, solidarity and security among the cross-section of public Hyderabad in general, "the minister said.
Referring to 2008 Mumbai terror attack, in which dozens of innocent lives were lost, Reddy said, "With this in mind, police armed with interceptor launch vehicles."
He said chief K Chandrasekhar Rao state minister soon lay foundation for the construction of an advanced Central Control Room 8 acres here that will keep a watch on the incidents in 10 districts of Telangana.
Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Sharma said interceptor vehicles with armed personnel will be very helpful in taking immediate action against extremists, terrorism or any incident of armed attack.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy said that the main objective of this force is to meet the needs of people under grave life-threatening emergencies and to prevent the occurrence of crimes, so the quality of life people in the city will improve and ensure security and living conditions to build a city free of crime.
These vehicles will be monitored by the Center City Police Command and Control of Hyderabad, he added.
