Mumbai: In a bid to avenge snubbed by BJP, Shiv Sena will support his political rival of Congress as part of land management in the lower house. Moreover, Congress has decided to form a shadow government, with the support of back office of retired bureaucrats to fight the BJP in the Legislature.
"The BJP-Shiv Sena ignored while induction of ministers. Now, it is our duty to play the role of a responsible opposition party in the legislature, as well as outside the house," said Dr. Neelam Gorhe, Shiv Sena spokesperson .
In a political situation changed, Shiv Sena and Congress play the role of the opposition, while the NCP will play the role of party BJP said Dr. Gorhe. She admitted that the traditional political rival Congress and the Shiv Sena would join together against the BJP.
"Not in our hands now. The mandate is that we have to shake hands with the Congress in the best interest of the State," he said. "It's part of land management," he added.
MPCC President Manikrao Thakre said the Congress would never go with Shiv Sena in any condition. "At home, despite our ideology would be several issues that we will fight together against the BJP," he said.
Develop the strategy of the party against the BJP, Mr Thakre said, "We will form a shadow cabinet that can exist before the winter session of the Legislature."
The Shadow Cabinet will consist of a group of two to four legislators interested in a common apartment. They will be supported by senior retired bureaucrats or officials have managed the department for a given period, it added.
The group will have a record of matters relating to a particular department and to be attacking the BJP government in the House. It will even first elected legislators the opportunity to speak in the House, said Mr. Thakre.
