On the background of the division if the state Seemandhra Congress party is almost empty. The ex-congress party ministers and important leaders are all joining other parties. Because of this there arised a situation where there were no candidates to participate in the coming elections on behalf of the congress party. The second tire Congress leaders are also not showing interest in participating in the elections as they are in a dilemma that if the old leaders will be back to the party by the time 2019 elections are around then the arty will kick them aside and welcome the old leaders. Because of this the Congress Party is guaranteeing the leaders that whoever participates in the elections this time will get a seat in the next elections also (i.e.2019 elections).
