3 places have been choosen for Seemandhra capital. The first place is Kaakinada, second place is Maacharla and the third being the stretch between Vinukonda, Guntur District and Markapuram, Prakasham District. But all the three places have forest area so there will be problem for land acquisition, so the government is still in a dilemma. There are forest lands near Kaakinada. Godavari water supply is nearby. If the place between Vinukonda and Markaapuram is made the capital then Gundlakamma and srisailam projects are there for water supply. This place will be close by to Vijayawada to Bangalore National highway and is also nearby to Raayalaseema. If Maacharla is made the capital then the water supply will be there from Nagarjun Sagar and Pulichintala Projects, Hyderabad national highway and railway lines will also be available. But there is no airport in all the three places, the government thinks that a small airport would be enough.
