The former MP and son of actor Nandamuri Harikrishna, Nandamuri Janakiram died in a road traffic accident Akupamula Cruz in Hyderabad Vijayawada (NH-65) road here Saturday night, police said.

According to information reaching the district headquarters, Janakiram traveling in a Tata Safari from Vijayawada to Hyderabad. The vehicle crashed into a tractor in reverse and Janakiram seriously injured was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the tractor came in the wrong direction.

Janakiram survived by wife and two children.

Mr. Nandakuri Harikrishna is the son of the late N. T Rama Rao, who founded the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
