The Telangana is reeling under the power crisis. Energy demand has been up to 30-40% compared to last year. To meet this demand Telangana government has put another step forward.
Telangana state government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state of Chattisgarh to buy 1,000 MW of electricity. The chief K Chandrasekhar Rao Telangana minister has asked officials of the State Transmission Corporation (TRANSCO) and the state electricity department to prepare the memorandum of understanding, according to sources.
Although this is formally resolved, as it had not Chattisgarh transmission lines, which was delayed. The T Government has also acquired the power of yesterday and before yesterday in the open market at 6 Rs.
