Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said he wanted the state to set an example as a skill and knowledge center in the country.
In a meeting with the National Skill Development Council (NSDC) CEO and MD Dilip Chenoy, the Prime Minister asked how NSDC can help the State in improving the skills that improve employability, according to an official statement.
The Prime Minister also inquired about the best training models adopted in other states, such as skills development and training can be offered under the social responsibility of business, how to help the Centre to develop skills and provide funds for why and how these personnel trained through NSDC could benefit and improve the productivity of service sectors agriculture, industry, and infrastructure.
NSDC Naidu asked to submit a report on its plan for Andhra Pradesh soon. Chenoy assured the Chief Minister that the NSDC mission soon implement skills development (one of the seven missions) of the state government. He told the Chief Minister that the NSDC start delivering results within a year and a half, according to the statement.
Special Chief Secretary SP Tucker, Advisor (Communications), Government of AP, Parakala Prabhakar and other officials attended the meeting.
