Films of the industry’s top heroes are released during the Sankranti festival and more often than not, they translate to big money. This year, it will be Mahesh Babu’s '1 Nenokkadine' jostling for the top spot with Ram Charan’s 'Yevadu'.
The producers of '1 Nenokkadine' have been promoting their film vigorously and they are confident that it will rake in maximum revenues. “I have this Sankranti sentiment. A few years back, my film 'Okkadu' released on this festival and became a blockbuster. Over the last two years, my films have released continuously during this festival and they became huge hits. This is the third year, and I am confident that I will make a hat-trick,” says Mahesh Babu.
Trade pundits say that collections may cross Rs 100 crore for the two films during the festival week. Mahesh Babu’s film’s budget is Rs 65 to 70 crore while 'Yevadu'’s is around Rs 40 crore. In the market 100cr collection from these two movies is not a big task. However, 100cr grass from a single movie from any of these to will bring real Sankranthi for Tollywood.
