Director Neelakanta's recent release Maaya has got huge demand for its remake rights. Ace Bollywood filmmakers Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt are in race for its Hindi rights. They are currently in talks with Madhura Sreedhar Reddy, the producer of the Telugu film, for the same. They are expected to finalise the deal soon and make an official announcement about the Hindi remake of this movie. Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and National award winning director Neelakanta met Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt at their office in Mumbai today (August 11). The Bollywood filmmakers appreciated Maaya. The producer describe it as wonderful meeting. He tweeted, "Amazing meeting with Mahesh Bhatt Ji and Mukesh Bhatt Ji regarding MAAYA remake in Hindi." Maaya, which is made with a tagline of 'Jaragaboyedhi Mundhe Kanapadithe', is an emotional and psychological thriller that deals with a fresh concept of Extra-Sensory Perception. In terms of its story, it is the first film of its kind in Telugu cinema. Starring Harshavardhan Rane, Avanthika and Sushma Raj in the lead roles, the movie has received positive response from film goers and critics. Vandana Agarwal of Josh Media also posted photos featuring Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Neelakanta with Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt on her Twitter page.
