Ever since Samantha took to Twitter to express her opinion on the poster of 1-Nenokkadine which she termed regressive, things have never been the same again. The actress was subjected to a barrage of criticism along with her boyfriend Siddharth by fans of Mahesh Babu. Ultimately, Mahesh himself issued a statement asking fans to desist from such virtual attacks and everyone thought that it was the end of the matter.

But in a promotional conversation to a television channel for 1-Nenokkadine, when the issue of Samantha came up, Mahesh expressed his opinion that Samantha should have called him or his wife Namrata if she found the poster objectionable instead of voicing her opinion directly on the internet. It was a fair comment from Mahesh considering that Samantha has acted with him in two of Dookudu and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, and the actress knew him personally. Meanwhile, authorities have also banned the poster which was the cause of all this fuss in the first place. The latest statement from Mahesh has prompted industry sources to say that Samantha may have won the war, but she has definitely lost the battle as there is little chance now of the superstar pairing up with her for future projects.
