In an interview with Kamal Nahta Bollywood trade analyst, Vikram opened up about his magnum opus "I" saying it is about a male model, played by him, which is not in the modeling choice, but circumstances force him to do . The two unusual outfits (Gorilla Man, Disfigured person) was an effort to show the painful or laborious effort of a model. On the whole, 'I' is a take on Modeling & Advertising Industry.
Vikram remembers the hard work gone to the "I" to the right of changes in physical appearance to performance. He says with confidence moviegoers will be surprised while watching what he has done in the film. He is happy to play three roles that completely contrast each other while given ample scope for performance.
